Blogs are the best way to get information about something, fast and quick. Some blogs have more tips, tricks and features than the official websites. So if you want information about Linux or Microsoft, straight from the red hot frying pan, you should lend your eyes on the following blogs.
It's not possible for me to cover all the Linux and Microsoft related blogs. I have just picked up the ones which are more popular and interesting, according to me.

1) UBUNTU Blog

4) Debian Blog
Debian is a free operating system (OS) for your computer. An operating system is the set of basic programs and utilities that make your computer run. Debian uses the Linux kernel (the core of an operating system), but most of the basic OS tools come from the GNU project; hence the name GNU/Linux. Debian GNU/Linux provides more than a pure OS: it comes with over 18733 packages, precompiled software bundled up in a nice format for easy installation on your machine.
The blog features posts which are quite diversified. From nice essay type articles like What Traditional Values Mean to Me or Differences between paid and volunteer FOSS contributors to more technical ones like python-gammu 0.27.
5) Mandriva Blog
Mandriva Linux is an operating system created by Mandriva. It uses the RPM Package Manager. The product lifetime of Mandriva Linux releases is 18 months for base updates and 12 months for desktop updates.
This blog is a bit different from the last ones as it solely dedicated to this particular distribution. So the posts are mainly related to Mandriva directly. Mandriva Linux 2009 RC2 is available, Happy 10th birthday Mandriva Linux are some of the latest topics in this blog.
MICROSOFT BLOGS
6) Windows Vista Blog
The intro on the blog says, The Windows Vista Team blog exists to provide you, the community, a channel for conversation with Microsoft on all things relating to Windows Vista. We do our best to relay the "back story" of the product, and in turn hope that you'll share with us your experiences using it. This will help us learn what you think works well -- or perhaps not so well --, and what you like vs. what could stand to be changed.
So whether you want to know about the Adobe Flash killer - Silverlight 2.0 or download ''I'm a PC'' messenger theme pack, it's all here. Information or features directly related to Vista like Mojave, SP1 or the Snipping tool, forms the bulk of the blog. If you are one of the 180 million people who are using Vista right now, you have come to the right place.
7) Internet Explorer Blog
Jeff Davis says about this blog that ''We will happily post and discuss issues around what features should be in IE, how features work in IE, the importance of application compatibility in IE, tips and tricks in IE, answers to technical issues, security and extensibility in IE, web browsing in general, and what keeps us up at night.''
You can be a Firefox user but you cannot ignore the most dominant browser in the market in terms of market share. IE8 is going to release soon with new features like Accelerators, WebSlices and more, so now it's a good time to visit this blog and find some reasons to switch from Firefox. The blog has nice information about IE8 group policy, tab grouping, visual search etc

10) Microsoft Surface Blog
To me, this is the most exciting and innovative product to come out of Microsoft. Now people are comparing this to a giant iPhone, but I wonder who stole the idea from who? Anyways, atleast the functions are different, so I could care less.
Microsoft Surface has been recently deployed at various places. You can get pictures, videos and articles right from that spots and get to know what people think about it. You can also read what Ashton Kutcher thinks about Microsoft Surface!
